Ways to Give
Regardless of how you choose to make a gift, remember that the Jesuit Volunteer Corps is a registered 501(c)(3) organization. All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
Online Giving
Go green and give online, where there will never be a stamp, paper, or carbon required to send in your donation. Just use your credit card or write a virtual check with an electronic fund transfer from your bank account.*
Consider making a regular monthly gift. By spreading your payments across the course of the year, you can multiply the size of your overall donation and increase your impact for JVC.
| Monthly Donation | Year-End Total |
| $10 | $120 |
| $15 | $180 |
| $20 | $240 |
| $25 | $300 |
| $50 | $600 |
| $75 | $900 |
| $100 | $1,200 |
| $150 | $1,800 |
* Gifts made with a credit card are subject to a 3-5 percent fee, which is removed from the total amount that JVC receives. There are no such fees associated with virtual checks via electronic fund transfers.
Traditional Mail
If you would prefer to remit your donation through the mail, make your check payable to Jesuit Volunteer Corps and send it to:
Jesuit Volunteer Corps
801 Saint Paul St
Baltimore, MD 21202-2448
Memorial and Honorary Gifts
Any donation you make can become a tribute gift. For birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, promotions, holidays, or in memory of someone who has died, you can honor your loved ones with a gift to JVC. Be sure to make note of it along with your check, online donation, or in conversation with JVC staff.
Matching Gifts
Your employer may match your donation to JVC. Contact your HR or payroll department about your company's matching-gift policy; some even match gifts made by spouses or retirees. When you send us your signed form, the impact of your gift may be doubled, or even tripled.
Combined Federal Campaign (CFC)
The Combined Federal Campaign is an employee charity campaign organized by the federal Office of Personel Management. Pledges made by federal civilian, postal, and military donors during the campaign season (September 1 to December 15) for JVC should be directed to #64652.
Securities
If the stock you donate has appreciated in value from the time of your purchase, you can avoid paying future capital gains tax by donating shares directly to JVC. The full value of the shares at the time of the donation is tax deductible. Contact the development@jesuitvolunteers.org for more information.
Bequests
You can make a lasting contribution toward our mission by considering a bequest to JVC through your will or living trust. For more information, contact the development@jesuitvolunteers.org.
Qualified Retirement Plans
Naming JVC as a beneficiary in your qualified retirement plan (IRA, KEOGH, 401(k) or 403(b)) could result in more assets being passed to your heirs than if you make a bequest from other funds in your estate. For more information, contact the development@jesuitvolunteers.org.
Send Me To Serve
Do you know someone who is about to begin one or two years of service through JVC? Honor this remarkable and selfless commitment by making a donation today.
By placing over 300 Jesuit Volunteers in 39 cities in the U.S. and 6 countries abroad, JVC saves agencies and schools thousands of dollars each year. Those savings mean more people who are poor and marginalized in communites around the world are reached.
JVC needs to raise approximately $5,300 per Jesuit Volunteer to operate our program. This includes everything from recruiting and placing volunteers and placement agencies, providing continuing support throughout the term of service, facilitating a quality formation program that includes retreat opportunities, travel expenses and health insurance for international JVs, and staff support.
JVs could not have this incredible support if it were not for their generous family and friends!
