Apply to do an Additional Year of JVC

Domestic to International
Current domestic JVs who are interested in serving internationally will be eligible for the following countries: Tanzania, Peru, Chile, and Nicaragua. These are late-departure countries, which means the JVs do not leave until approximately December.
- Contact Brigitte Basile, program director for the international program office at 202-462-5200 or bbasile@jesuitvolunteers.org by January 10 to discuss your interest and receive your application materials.
- Submit the application to IPO by February 1, 2012. Only applications from applicants who have spoken to Brigitte will be considered.
Domestic to Domestic
- Contact the program coordinator with whom you work to set up a time to discuss your interest in an additional year and request the application materials.
- Contact your PC as soon as possible in order to have time to send and receive completed references and reflect on the materials.
- You must hold a conversation regarding your interest in an additional year with your program coordinator before the end of your re-orientation.
- Attend the re-orientation additional year information session.
- To be considered in the first round, submit your completed application no later than one week after your re-orientation ends.
- If you're interested in remaining in your current placement, you must submit the application by this deadline.
- To be considered in the second round, submit your completed application by March 12, 2012.
