Placement Sites
Having a Jesuit Volunteer working at your organization means more than having an enthusiastic, dedicated worker at a low cost, it means participating in a program that is directed toward the service of others and the development and formation of JVs.
Placement sites and JVs are all considered participants in our program. As a placement site, you would agree to participate in the JVC program from JV orientation until the last day of work.
Although sponsoring a JV represents financial savings, it also requires more administrative effort and involvement, since the rationale for the JV's work experience is different from that of a salaried staff member. You would also need to consider the welfare of the JV and the needs of the agency in a way that is different than a traditional employee.
