As a Program Coordinator, Chris is responsible for the guiding and formation of 22 volunteers in the cities of Portland, ME, Boston, MA, Raleigh, NC and Atlanta, GA. Chris served as a Dominican Volunteer for two years in Chicago and Atlanta in 2014-2016.
Before joining JVC, Chris began his post-graduate service years in Chicago where he was an ESL and job skills instructor at Heartland Alliance. Chris also co-led a computer and driving skills course for refugees. Looking to continue his work with refugees along with his advocacy work for refugees and refugee rights, Chris continued his service in Atlanta, where he joined the incredible team at Catholic Charities Atlanta, in their refugee resettlement sector, as an employment specialist. He worked with about 70 refugees in securing full-time employment and becoming self-sufficient.
Chris graduated from the Molloy College, in Long Island, NY, with a degree in Adolescent Mathematics and Special Education. His interests include becoming a Pokémon Master, finding new tunes that are worthy enough to be added to his “all day” playlist on Spotify, and sports, particularly baseball, football and rugby.
