Deb is the Finance Associate at JVC. She supports the Finance and Administration team by managing the domestic and international community bank accounts. She works closely with the two bookkeepers in each JV community, providing support with the completion of their monthly expense report and with any housing or financial concerns they may have. Throughout the six years she has worked at JVC, she has witnessed the JV communities strive to live out the Ignatius four values, especially simple living, which has been an inspiration and a deepening within her own conviction.
Deb received her B.F.A and M.A. in Clay. She established her own business, Studio J, selling her clay and glass creations to galleries and boutiques throughout the United States. Deb moved to the non-profit world, as she felt the need to serve her community in a more direct way. The precision and detail oriented approach to her craft transitioned beautifully to the responsibilities of her administrative role at NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore, where she worked for eight years before joining JVC.
Deb is a native New Yorker who has grown to love Baltimore as her own city. She is a nature lover to the core, and finds her animal friends uniquely honest, her plant friends, patient and forgiving, and her family, a never ending opportunity for her to love and learn.
