The application process

Step 1

Create an account through our online application system. Applications (including transcripts and recommendation letters) are due by January 31st.

Step 2

Initial interviews begin in February. Prospective volunteers who are conditionally accepted post-interview will take a survey to determine interest and eligibility for volunteer positions and locations.

Step 3

Prospective volunteers participate in a second interview, either with a JVC placement site or with a JVC staff member. Two-year candidates may be asked to attend a mandatory discernment weekend before final placement offers are made.

Step 4

Successful applicants are matched with a placement site. Those who accept their placement offer begin the on-boarding process, including a welcome call and a mandatory Orientation.
