2019 IFTJ Live Stream | Access Here
IFTJ is an annual gathering for members of the Ignatian family (Jesuit institutions and broader church) to gather in the context of social justice and solidarity to learn, reflect, pray, network, and advocate together. It is a place where people are empowered, re-energized, inspired, challenged, and supported by a community that sees faith and justice integrally linked.

Catholic Relief Services | Access Here
A great starting point for Jesuit Volunteers would be the ongoing “Lead the Way” Advocacy campaign we have at CRS. Part way down the home page, you’ll see an “advocate” button, which will take you to the current opportunity for folks to sign a relevant letter to Congress on an important issue.

52 Small Things | Access Here
It is easy to get caught up in your routine as a Jesuit Volunteer. When things feel busy in your intentional community, it can be tough to make time for self-care. Luckily, your community and local support are great people to turn to during times like these. We also found this great 52 small-things that you might consider committing to over the course of the next few weeks. Maybe commit to the first ten as a community, or pick and choose and at dinner you can check-in on how things are going?

Called to Forgive | Access Here
Associate Manager of Admissions Amie Hall is currently reading 'Called to Forgive' by Anthony Thompson about the husband of one of the women murdered in the Charleston church shooting, Amie shared: "This book is hardcore challenging me to think critically about Biblical forgiveness in a world where retaliation for such a heinous act is the norm and culturally justified. It has discussion questions for each chapter that would be great for a group."

Putting Racism on the Table | Access Here
Putting Racism on the Table is a podcast centering conversations around race, privilege, implicit bias and more. These conversations were meant to confront those issues and to use an equity lens more consistently within their work.

Ways to Live More Sustainably | Access Here
This really robust list has a few pointers that may just come in handy for you all!

Check out the collaborative efforts of our network! The Jesuit Conference organizations put together an Advent hub for members of our Ignatian family to use leading up to Christmas.

6 Actions for White Allies | Access Here

tUrn Project | Access Here
We joined Santa Clara University's tUrn project for a week long series of events about climate change. FJV Dan Misleh spoke with Director of FJV Engagement, Partnerships and Outreach Maria Gaughan (Raleigh 2004-05) about the climate collapse and his work with Catholics to address climate change. This Community Conversation would make a great community or spirituality night to spark additional discussion. Alternatively, both Catholic Climate Covenant and tUrn project have resources on their site too!

Being a "good person" | Access Here
What does it mean to be a "good person" and how might our personal bias effect our efforts towards becoming a "better person." In this TED Talk, Dolly Chugh explores exactly that topic, she says: "We have this definition of good person that's either-or. Either you are a good person or you're not. Either you have integrity or you don't. Either you are a racist or a sexist or a homophobe or you're not. And in this either-or definition, there's no room to grow."

Rise Up Newsletter | Access Here
Are you feeling reflective? Ignatian Solidarity Network's Rise Up Weekly newsletter is just the right thing to get your week started off right. Every Monday morning, voices from the Ignatian network will reflect, explore, and respond to injustice through the lens of Ignatian spirituality and the previous Sunday’s daily readings.
